Alleged killer of St Luke's female nurse caught, tests positive for drugs despite Oplan Tokhang surrender
The alleged killer of 23-year-old nurse September Paz, who was found dead with 19 multiple stab wounds at her dormitory room in Quezon City on Sat, Aug 20, surrendered at the Quezon City Police District headquarters in Camp Karingal today, Aug 24.Inquirer.net reports that the suspect, 22-year-old Jeffrey Guarin, tested positive for drugs despite having committed himself to Philippine National Police's drug rehabilitation program called Oplan Tokhang in April."Guarin, whose house is just next to the boarding house of Paz along Dona Juana Rodriguez Street in Brgy. Kristong Hari, claimed that he climbed to the
room of the victim on the second floor and entered by destroying the jalousie window. He said he was so drunk at that time and wanted more alcohol to drink but did not have the money to buy," reports Maricar B. Brizuela.
