HOMICIDE, MURDER NOT INCLUDED
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Dir. Gen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa on Friday claimed that the daily average crime volume has gone down since July 1, the first day of the Duterte administration.
"I would like to report that according to our Director for Investigation and Detective Management, our daily average crime volume since July 1 has gone down to 49 percent," he said in a speech delivered at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City, for the 115th police service anniversary celebration.
"Historic iyan. Historic reduction ng daily average crime volume," Dela Rosa pointed out.
NCRPO chief Supt. Oscar Albayalde clarified after the event that the daily average crime volume Dela Rosa was referring to covers only street crimes and excludes homicide and murder cases. —KBK, GMA News
