A suspected drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Pandacan, Manila Thursday evening, a television report said Friday.
Quoting police information, GMA News' Mav Gonzales reported on Unang Balita that on Michael Serrano alias "Mac-Mac" was killed after shooting it out with the raiding police team in the Beata area in Pandacan.
A police operative told Gonzales that Serrano was a known drug pusher in the area.
During the buy-bust operation, Serrano must have been informed by his lookout that he was going to transact with police operatives, a policeman said.
Yung pusher may mga lookout yung mga iyan, eh. Ngayon, pagpasok pa lang ng mga pulis 'di natin alam may nakatawag na sa kanya. Pagpasok natin sa pinto, pinutukan na ang mga pulis, the police personnel told Gonzales.
"Gumanti ang mga pulis at napatay ang suspek," he added.
Serrano had surrendered under the anti-drug Oplan Tokhang program but he continued with his drug-peddling activity, the report quoted authorities as saying.
Recovered from the suspect were a cal.-38 hand gun and five sachets of suspectded shabu.
