Actor Mark Anthony Fernandez, who was arrested last week for possession of a kilo of marijuana, was transferred to the Angeles City Jail on Saturday morning.
A GMA News TV Live report said the actor, who was initially detained at the Station 6 of the Angeles City Police, was transported to the new detention facility at around 9 a.m.
The actor's lawyer, Atty. Sylvia Flores, said Fernandez was placed in a "normal" cell where other inmates are also detained.
The actor is now staying at detention cell No. 8, the report added.
Fernandez was arrested on Monday for the alleged possession of a kilo of marijuana at a police checkpoint.
Following his arrest, the actor underwent a drug test and he was tested positive for using marijuana but not shabu.
